Enhancement of measurement accuracy of X-ray PIV in comparison with micro PIV technique
X-ray PIV technique has been used as a non-invasive measurement modality to investigate the hemodynamic features of blood flow. However, the extraction of 2D velocity field data from the 3D volumetric information contained in X-ray images is technically unclear. In this study, we propose a new 2D velocity field extraction technique to overcome technological limitations.
To resolve with the problem of finding correction coefficient, the velocity field information obtained by X-ray PIV and micro PIV techniques for disturbed flow in a concentric stenosis with 50% severity were quantitatively compared.
