Flow characteristics around a deformable stenosis

2018.01.02 16:30

The effect of stenotic deformation on the flow characteristics of the deformable stenosis was investigated experimentally under pulsatile flow condition. The phasic shape variation enhances the increasing rate of the jet velocity, which in turn causes the high increasing rate of the TKE production rate as compared with that in rigid stenosis models. This phenomenon induces the phase delay of the peak position in the waveform related with the pressure drop across the stenosis.
